Where the Streets Have No Name

On my walk home, the rain was falling but the sun was out and starting to set. All the rain drops were reflecting the sunlight, making everything look golden. There was a rainbow over the hills and the whole scene was underscored by the U2 song that was playing on my ipod. The moment was really beautiful, but in a melancholy kind of way.

Just wanted to remember that.

That's almost what LA looks like when it rains.

Oh, wait. LA when it rains is even uglier than when it doesn't rain.

One time I was stuck in this village in the Northwest of Ireland, and it was freezing cold and windy, and I had to wait for the bus for almost an hour, and it was autumn, and there were roadsigns in Irish, and a harbor there, and I listened to Running to Stand Still (U2) and it was one of the most peaceful moments I can remember. So I totally understand.
